Peer Review Process
Submission Requirements
Manuscripts must adhere to the Author Guidelines. Submissions may be returned without review if they do not comply with formatting requirements, cannot be reliably downloaded, or fail to meet other submission standards. All submissions must represent the authors’ original and independent work.
The Principal Editor will conduct an initial assessment to determine whether the manuscript fits the scope of LinguaEducare: Journal of English and Linguistic Studies. A submission may be rejected at this stage if it:
-
Lacks sufficient scholarly content.
-
Exceeds the word limit or is incorrectly formatted.
-
Is poorly presented or unclear.
Manuscripts that pass the initial assessment will be assigned to a Principal or Associate Editor for peer review coordination, focusing on contribution, originality, relevance, and presentation.
Peer Review Process
LinguaEducare uses a double-blind peer review system, where both author and reviewer identities are concealed. Each manuscript is reviewed by at least two independent experts. Reviewer comments are confidential and disclosed only with reviewer consent.
Authors can generally expect an editorial decision within 1–3 months of submission. If revisions are required, the revised manuscript should be submitted within 2–4 weeks. The final decision is made by the Principal Editor or Section Editor based on peer review outcomes.
All manuscripts are handled in accordance with LinguaEducare’s publication ethics, ensuring confidentiality prior to publication.
Editorial Decision Types
-
Decline Submission – The paper is deemed unsuitable for publication.
-
Resubmit for Review – The paper requires major revision and will be considered as a new submission after significant improvements.
-
Revision – The paper needs changes before a final decision can be made. A detailed response to reviewer comments must accompany the revised version. Multiple rounds of revision may be required.
-
Accept Submission – The paper is accepted subject to minor revisions and formatting adjustments before final publication.
Galley Proofs
Final proofs will be sent to the corresponding author for review. Corrections must be limited to printer’s errors; substantial changes may incur additional charges. Proofs should be returned within three days to avoid publication delays. Authors are responsible for ensuring the accuracy of their content at the proof stage.
Editorial Workflow
LinguaEducare follows the editorial and publishing process as outlined by the Public Knowledge Project (PKP), ensuring transparency and consistency throughout manuscript handling.
